My 2 year first started having skin issues at a year. I noticed these weird flaky patches of skin on top of his wrists and feet. With time it spread and his arms and legs were covered with these weird patches. I’d put on Aquaphor twice a day, switched everything to hypoallergenic from shampoo to detergent etc. The pediatrician insisted it’s eczema and gave us a topical steroid cream to keep it at bay. In the summer his skin was awful and the doctor said it turned fungal and infected so we did the anti fungal and antibiotic route. With the cooler whether his skin improved a lot, and I finally got an appointment with a top dermatologist whom I’d been trying to get. I paid of out pocket and traveled only to be told during the three minute appointment it’s classic eczema and to see an allergist. (Appointment is next month). A few days later I noticed two of his nails peeling from the bottom. And a few days ago I found this weird scaly raised red raw patch on his scalp. I mentioned all these things to my pediatrician who brushed them off. My son is also developmentally delayed. Doing some googling realizing he checks just about every box for psoriasis. Does anyone have experience in this in such a little kid? What do I do now?

Don't know if it applies for kids too but for adults going off nightshades really helps for psoriasis. (Potatoes tomatoes peppers eggplant)

Guttate psoriasis that is the body's reaction to an infection or illness. It can last months. Could this be what he has?

Interesting thought. For sure could be. He did have strep when things flared up and at that time also got these small lesions all over his trunk and abdomen. But what do I do now?

How? And what doctor, specialist etc? I feel like I need to advocate especially cause it’s getting worse… thank you for your insight! Very much appreciated!

Op hugs from a fellow mother suffering from this as well.
How desperate are you to heal this? If your really desperate I can give you the number of a Nutritionist that helped my DC bh. But it's not easy. It's hard work.

Try the natural way.
Definitely try to cut sugar. Kefir, and other fermented foods.
Also try goat milk.

If you van have him undressed in the sun for a little bit every day, that's also good. Obviously not if it's freezing out.depemdimg on you location.
Try to avoid cortisone creams and steroids. Unless it's an emergency.

Very much appreciated! | I would use herbal antibiotics such as biocidin, oil of oregano or cryptolepis for a good few months and put the child on a gut healing diet off gluten, dairy, corn, refined sugar, food dyes and msg. Also lots of probiotics and ferments.

Interesting. He’s allergic to many foods (tho we haven’t been to an allergist yet but his blood work from the pediatrician indicated many allergies and some we figured out on our own) as well as most antibiotics so in a way herbal makes sense but restricting his already limited diet would be super challenging. What kind of specialist deals with this? Who can I go to for guidance?

If you can look into goat milk it may help. It can be spritzed on and also drunk.
