We invited a single man DH knows to come for Shabbos. He will be sleeping over and having the meals with us. He asked if he could bring a friend as well. I'm fine with that, is it ok for them to share our guest room or do we have to offer the friend his own room?
Thoughts?

Generally if he's bringing the friend along he expects to share a room with him.

I would say if guests are coming together they can share a room. Especially if giving them each their own room would inconvenience you greatly

IMHO if he isn't willing to share a room he shouldn't ask to bring a guest.

This is what I was thinking, but wanted to get some other opinions.
I understand the POV of those who said to ask him, but was wondering if it's necessary or a nice thing.
Thanks all!

If you’re able to, and have room for it, I think it’s really nice to offer him the choice.

I don’t think you have to ask, that leaves you responsible to find alternate arrangements if they don’t approve. I would just tell them that you only have one guest room. This way they know what’s available and they have to make the alternate arrangements if they’re not ok with it.

Of course they can share a room. It’s his guest. On the other hand if you were inviting 2 separate guests you would need to sleep them separately, because they’re both your invitations and they may not be comfortable sleeping together.
