I think the “kosher” ones are greenhouse grown.
I know not everyone holds by the CRC but they don’t recommend fresh broccoli.

I remember I bought a bag of checked raw broccoli and found little tiny lives bugs inside. I called the rov who gave the hashgacha, he said it’s impossible to check or prevent completely for them.

I follow star K.
Soak in warm, soapy water, prince the heads, rubbing thoroughly, in cold water, soak in cold water, check the water with a thrip cloth.
Alternatively, parboil for 10-12 seconds, knocking against sides of pot, then plunge into ice water, check the boiled water and the ice water.
