Has anyone ever flown on xmas? Is it a good idea? We want to fly from Israel to Barcelona on Dec. 25th, or we can push it off a day to the 26th.

Your flight will be much less crowded on the 25th

My parents have, but only to/from Israel.
If you land in Barcelona on Dec 25th, just make sure ahead of time that everything you want to do there the will be open. As for the travel itself -- should be a light travel day.

Yes I have, it's nice and quiet and calm.
Still alot of travelers so not eerily quiet.

Xmas is often a great day for flying. I have found it very empty. Most holidayers fly at least a day earlier to be where they are going the night before.
But, agreed, check that what you are flying for will be available to you.
