Canon s3 IS problem

I got a Canon s3 IS a few months ago and all in all have been very happy.

I have one problem with it. When I take pictures, the center of the picture from the top to midway becomes lighter than the rest of the picture, as if there is a light shining down on that particular spot of the picture, but it happens anywhere, not just in certain places. Is it the settings? DOes anyone else have such a problem or know how to fix it?

ok, I guess a better word would be, a glare on the photos that happens outdoors and indoors

Maybe the lens needs to be cleaned.
Can you post a pic so we can better understand what you mean?

You can either do it on photoshop (select and blur) but a better idea would be to take a random picture of an object and post it here.
