Freezer was turned off by mistake for probably about a week with plenty raw chicken in. Got rid of the stuff and cleaned it out with bleach and more. Still had an awful smell so left it outside to air out. Hasn't helped. Still has an awful smell.
Any ideas how to get rid of the smell?

Put a box of open baking soda in it absorbs the smell

Yes, I’d put more than one.

Did put tray with one tub of baking powder for a few nights and left it closed. Smells worse than when it was left open.
Maybe it needs more baking soda? Or do I leave the freezer open with baking soda in?

Get a few 9x13 pans
Pour some charcoal and pour some baking soda on top of the charcoal
Place 1 pan on each shelf

Ok thanks will try this one. Such a bad time of year to be stuck with one less freezer.

Dilute coffee in water and place in open bowls/containers all over the freezer.
You can also put in a few dryer sheets
