I'm not clear- what does this apply to besides bread products and cake cookies?
Cereal?
Pretzles?
Oatmeal?
Granola?
Does this have to do with oleh al shulchan melachim or totally not?

From what I understand it applies to anything that has a tzurisa d'nahama (bread-like form) - so cakes would apply, pasta would not
