Sem principal doesn’t want them talking about it. But what if they need help processing? I don’t know how best to support. And don’t want to argue with principal but what if they do need to talk to someone about it

Tell your DD you’re here to talk if she needs and it’s totally ok.
She should be old enough to understand that sometimes even people you respect can be wrong about what’s right for you.
