My boys eat in school after davening. They also keep they're own box of cereal there and other stuff because they don't like the school food.
My girls eat.

Yes all my kids eat breakfast when they come downstairs. Between 7:00 and 8:00. My 12 year old ds goes on the bus at 6:45 and wakes up earlier to eat. I am not into if it's "breakfast food" so it can be random but they eat.
Usually it's either:
Eggs
Grilled cheese
Yogurt for 2 year old
Waffles
Pancakes
Noodles
Orzo
Couscous
Smoothies
Baked potatoes
Rolls/bagels
Once in a while cereal
Or wtvr else they want.
My 12 year old usually has eggs or orzo or noodles in the morning. Wtvr he is in the mood of when he gets up.

We had to have an egg every day when I was little, cereal was an optional extra. We were all short. As a teen I did just take a fruit.
My kids had breakfast, cereal or grilled cheese normally. Also short.
But having breakfast is supposed to help you concentrate.
