I have columns of minutes that need to be added up. I did the regular =sum(number 1,number 2) properly to add up all the minutes.
I got the correct amount.
I had to go back to 1 or 2 days to add a row
Now my sum is 0:00 instead of (for example) 22:10
Is it because I added the numbers after?
Also if I edit the existing numbers a little bit the formula changes to the proper amount but if I add any more it goes back to 0
I tried everything except retyping the whole sheet… is that what I need to do?
Hope this is clear!

Try asking ChatGPT to help troubleshoot. I've found it very helpful. Hatzlacha!

When you are doing your initial sum, are you choosing a range of cells or specific ones? When you add the new cells does the formula update to include those new cells as well?
If your example was close before or and now your total is more than 24 hours. Could you need to change the format because it’s trying to include days or something else?

It sounds like your sum is displaying clock time instead of duration. Can you fiddle with the number format?

Did this and it worked! For anyone else who ever has this issue… you need the custom number formula that looks like this:
[h]:mm:ss
Thank you!!!
