If so would you put the initial of their first or last name?

Seems childish. Even if the teacher is single and relatively young, I still wouldn't do it.

Please make sure she would appreciate it. I got a personalized gift with my last name initial when I was divorced…

I got a nice towel set with my last initial. Thought was a nice gift. Also got an acrylic pitcher with the last initial. I use both.
One got an apron from a relative as a gift with my first name and I think it's dumb. I have a family of kids bh, don't need to be wearing my name blazingly on my chest. And now one dd started helping in kitchen and sometimes wears it. I gotta go buy a new one quick
