I live in Israel and work from home for a US company at nights until about midnight.
Is the need to work these hours a fair reason to negotiate better pay?

I don't think so. You can work for an Israeli company and have normal hours but I'm assuming you are making more this way. That's not their issue.

Hmm. I don't think so. You took the job with that knowledge. It's more about the value you add to the company etc.

How much are you getting paid? Unfortunately I don't think this is reason to negotiate. They can find an American worker.

Just make sure you’re getting close to the American wage not an Israeli wage I think. (But I don’t work and don’t know how the market works)

Did they change the hours on you? Then you definitely can.
If you moved and kept your job, or you were hired in/from Israel and this was the agreed on salary, you cannot.
I work in (physically in) a hospital in NY and there is a nighttime differential, but that is in person where they need to staff 11pm.

If you work for an American company American hours, then I don't think you can negotiate. Unless you're really valuable to the company & it's not easy for someone to take over your job.
