I love Shoshana. It’s elegant and beautiful. My shoshana goes by Shosh sometimes.she’s also an Adar baby Smile
Shoshanas Yaakov

I think shoshana means rose in lashon kodesh or lily in modern day ivrit

I'm a Shoshana who goes by Shoshana and no one calls me anything else, so a nickname is definitely not inevitable! I do like my name very much Smile
But Aliza is also pretty

I like both names equally. They’re both pretty. Good luck deciding.

And about the nickname comment: I know a few Shoshanas who use the name Shoshana and they were called that throughout their childhood.

I love Shoshana and I feel like it's less popular than Aliza currently... But I do like the nicknames Shosh and Shoshie, not that they're required. We're definitely a nickname family.

I would definitely use a nickname for shoshana, I don’t know why. My other kids are all their full names (aryeh isn’t ari)

With my other kids I had such clarity… hmmm… maybe I have to meet the kid first 😂

So on the fence.

Aliza mom here Smile so personal preference for that one! I like the sound and the meaning.
I was on the fence about her name but it suits her so much now!
We never choose before birth..had to see her first-it wasn’t even on our short list.

I definitely prefer Aliza to Shoshana.
So pretty.
If I were thinking about an Adar name, I think I would lean more towards Hadas or Hadassah. I love both of those. I also love how Hadassah was actually Esther's Hebrew name (with Esther being her Persian name).

I vote for Aliza.

I love happiness names for Adar, I think they are very fitting. Both our Adar babies have names from the Gila, Rina, Ditza, Chedva, etc. names.

Both are really beautiful names. Shoshana is so lovely, doesn't need a nickname. (we have a Shoshana).Aliza also is lovely. No nickname needed. you will receive your Siyatta Dishmaya after your birth. B'shaa Tova.
