Cooking in a pizza maker

I can't really explain but it's bigger than most appliances, I don't need a separate pan, cheese toaster, and toaster out . It can all get done in this. I mainly bought it for when away, but we've ended up using it tons at home too.
I make myself healthy meals in it, slice aubergines, they get done really quickly, then add a couple of eggs and top with a slice of cheese. A full meal, with no pot to wash. I don't always use Bakewell paper, but it's really easy to clean.

Hmm, is it at all similar to a George Foreman?

Was thinking of getting one last pesach, even for holidays..
But what sides can you make in it?

Im presuming you cant boil anything in it or use water?

So anything that can be fried/grilled...
Is it saving so much time?

I watched my mil make chips in it and she literally had to stand over and watch it, keep mixing it etc.

How long would salmon take to cook for example?

I’ve done lokshen and farfel in it with great results. Kids love the farfel when made in the Betty Crocker.

Salmon needs like 10 min.

It’s different than GF. This leaves food nice and juicy and really delicious

Yes you can make chips in it but I only did this when away because they took quite a long time . I packed it though because there's 7 of us knH.

I've never boiled rice or pasta in it but apparently you can.

Kneidels I never tried! But it’s too flat for it I think

Loving this thread!! I use my pizza maker for ….:pizza!! Never knew of all these great ideas!!

I once tried eggs and did NOT like how it came out and I recently tried pancakes and they came out delicious and much fluffier than normal.

Thinking of buying a fleishig one now with these ideas!! Keep them coming please!

I don’t know where you live, but if your local shops have the cookbook ready in the betty- you can take a look to see that you can make many many dishes in it. Plus bake cookies, cheesecake and more!

Does it reheat cooked food?

Sort of like a hotplate?

On pesach I only have plug in cooking rings, wondering how it could help me...

Yes!
I like it better than microwave, doesn’t make food taste rubbery like a microwave.

We also take boiled chicken from the soup and add some sauce and reheat/bake like that.

If you use for pesach, you’d still need a hot plate for yomtov itself. But this is much quicker than hot plate.

Option A- pour a bag of ready spiced farfel plus some oil into Betty. Toast for a min-2, then add water.

Option c- follow recipe of ready in the Betty. Which gives exact timing and amount of water and spices (they also say 1 cup of farfel, but I find you can easily do a bag).
