Agreed, and as well, you're also allowed to privately think it's not nice, and to teach your children to treat good friends differently.
OP has said over and over again that she gets it, she's going to pay this boy, but that she wants to know in general if people think it's nice to charge a good friend for something like this. People have had very mixed reactions.
Personally I wouldn't, sounds like OP and several other Imamothers wouldn't, sounds like some imamothers would.
But OP is entitled to internally feel how she feels about it, based on how she views what good friends do for each other, and the other boys at the yeshiva are allowed to feel how they feel, and I guess the only thing now is to see if and how it affects their friendship.
