I made garlic confit for the first time. I'm completely underwhelmed. It's so bland and mellow! Id rather have raw garlic in oil and vinegar! Why is it so popular?

U didn’t make it right
Garlic oil salt pepper thyme and a little water bake for around an hour till it’s golden brown and mushy I add jalepeno yum it’s our favorite shabbos dish
