My daughter's in eighth grade and is giving mm to her teacher tomorrow. I'm wondering if I should write the thank you or if it should be coming from my daughter? What do you do?

Who's the MM ostensibly from: you or dd? Whoever is the putative sender writes the note. It seems to me that the sender is you, and you're expressing gratitude for whatever the teacher is doing for your dd. I think it would be a bit weird and suspiciously like brown-nosing for your dd to give her teacher a thank you note midyear. At the end of the year, after all the grades are in, lovely; mid-year, not so much.

I'm a morah.
I try to get my kids to write the note, otherwise I do.
I did all of theM for Chanukah, so I think its their turn now!!

I had my first grader write notes to her three morahs on sunday.
Maybe I'll get my others to do it today

I do the notes throughout the year and have my kids write a note at the end of the year.

I don't give notes on purim. I give mm and a ck. Chanuka and end of year my kids write a note with the gift/ck. Purim time is very hectic I don't need to add on more responsibilities.
