I know this may be crazy but, my 3 mo daughter wants to drink from a cup. she follows my hand with her eye, and tonight when I was holding her and drinking, she started crying from frustration because I wouldn't let her drink from my cup (of warm tea with agave). is there anything that would be safe to give her a little of, as I am completely bf?

CL, that makes so much sense! Expressed milk would be the most logical thing.

Another question, as she is also doing the eyeing thing with food as well, if I end up starting her on solids sooner than later (not my preference), will it end up diminishing my milk supply sooner? any considerations for/against it? I don't think she's physically ready yet anyway but I know that its coming up in the next month or two...

I found my milk supply did diminish when I introduced solids around 5-6months as I didnt nurse as often because they were getting nourishment from other sources. With my 2nd I just about managed to keep nursing till 8months but I know its different for everyone.

Your milk supply comes in on demand. Meaning as much as your baby
had that day that is how much milk you will the next day.
Giving her solids will cause her to be less hungry so she will need less from you.
