You guys never heard of fruit for breakfast? So many diets have that.

It's one of the components of the raw food diet too.

Come to think of it though she did give another option for breakfast if you can't handle it. I think it was puffed kashi cereal with soy milk. Personally it isn't a big deal for me. I find other parts of it harder.

I have certainly heard of diets directing you to eat fruit for breakfast, celery and carrot sticks for lunch, and a child-size piece of chicken breast with broccoli for supper.
These diests are bad for your health.

Seriously speaking. You think this is unhealthy?

I said there is no portion counting/ weighing.

I am so serious. An apple for breakfast without any protein and whole grains is unhealthy - you are starving your brain when it needs food most.

JudyJudith, I hate to have to say this, but I really think that you plateaued the first time because this diet is all wrong for you. Sad
You can PM if you're interested in hearing about another way.

It doesn't have a name.

There was a nutritionist here in bp awhile ago (who disappeared from the face of earth nreow) that my family used. I didn't go to her- but thata's where the gist of it comes from.

I agree--this is wrong. you need a meal plan designed for you. you are messing with your metabolism. yes, it will take longer to lose doing it the right way, but then you will have learned to have a healthy lifestyle and you will keep it off, BEH.
There is no such thing as a quick fix with losing weight.

Fit for life has fruit for breakfast too. It's not unhealthy if you eat more then one until lunchtime. I have been doing it for years and I feel great. I actually get hungry faster when eating protien/starch.

I started this diet today too, went so well so far B"H. I hope I can lose weight with this diet, cuz I'm finally not starving all day, so I think I'll be able to keep at it. Thanks so much Ra_mom.

Here the basic idea of what I do:

Fat Free Unlimited Vegetable Soup

1 large Spanish onion, chopped
2 pkg. mushrooms, thinly sliced from top to bottom
1 bunch celery, tops and bottoms removed, then thinly sliced
1 bunch carrots, peeled and thinly sliced
3 zucchini, cut into chunks with skin
water to almost cover vegetables (leave 1-inch of vegetables uncovered)
salt to taste (it needs a lot of salt)
fresh garlic, optional
parsley, optional (if using dried, add right before soup is done)

Place cut up vegetables into an 8 quart pot. Add water.
Bring water to a boil; lower heat and simmer for 40 minutes, with pot cover open a little bit.
Turn off flame. Add salt to taste.
Allow soup to cool. While it cools, the vegetables with get softer.
(You can also decrease the mushrooms and zucchini amounts to make room for 1 bunch of kolarabi in the pot - peeled and cut into chunks.)
