When I come home from work I need to unwind with a good snack, it just helps me relax. I think food is an addiction. Yes I am 50 lbs overweight, but would you consider this an emotional issue? I dont
I deff do have will power but I just dont want to work hard right now.
I think my main issue is that from life experience I know that Im a yoyo, I lose it all and after while gain it back. Im tired of it. I would love to do the banding surgery as a "long term" solution only I would have to gain another 50 lbs. Im actually thinking of gaining the weight but I feel horrid with myself the way I am now.
Really dont know what to do at this point.

If eating is your primary mode of relaxation then yes, food is an emotional issue. If you only do it once in a blue moon then it isn't.

Interesting that you are saying that. Can you explain further?
I do find that certain foods are like a drug to me lol like there is a very specific cookie that relaxes me lol idk why

Emotional eaters eat because that is their instantaneous response to FEELINGS:
good, bad, happy, sad, ecstatic, frightened, stress, anxiety, joy etc.

There are programs that can teach you to deal with feelings without relying on food as a tool.

I know because I am a compulsive overeater.
And I am not on antidepressants or anxiety medication etc.

Just a mommy living life with a wide range of feelings...
