I have a European hair light brown with some highlights sheitel that is about a year old. I hardly ever wear it because I never had bangs before I was married and the side bangs on the sheitel just drive me nuts. I rather wear my fall... Its probably been worn a handful of times. Its a beautiful sheitel and a shame that I never wear it. I am thinking about selling it... How would I go about doing this? I spent a lot of money on it and the sheitel macher is not interested in taking it back. Is anyone here interested in it? I am not too savvy with ebay and the such. Are there other easy ways out there? Thanks in advance!

Try The Wig Closet. They buy and sell gently used sheitels on consignment.(I think that's how it works) The numbers are 718-778-0666 or 347-417-4564. You can find them on facebook.

Why not have the bangs removed or changed? You never get much for a used sheital.

I agree with CM, go to a lady that replaces hair/fixes wigs and spend the $ to take out the bangs and replace the hair. This way, you will have a "real" shaitel. Shame to spend so much $ on a wig and then have to lose it.

AR, please don't sell your sheitel before checking with a sheitelmacher. If you live in Brooklyn, I recommend Gittel Rosenzweig in Marine Park for this. She advertises in the 20's and 30's magazine every week.
Gittel will be able to advise you as to whether the bangs can be cut, or baby hair added underneath to make them less annoying. OR, she can convert it to a fall if the bangs can't be fixed. My friend did this with Gittel a while ago and it cost $90 to convert. My friend was thrilled because she ended up with a beautiful fall.
It is a shame, though, not to be able to come up with a solution for those pesky bangs. Good luck.
