Why would you kashur it? Do you mean toivel?

Not sure exactly what you are asking. If you mean toivel it, just dip the metal part in the mikvah but make sure the cord doesn't go in. If you are asking how to switch it from meat to dairy or vice versa I have no idea but then its probably worth just getting a second one....

I use it for lots of chunky or blended soups. Beats pouring hot liquids into a blender in batches.
I use it quite often, actually.
If you immerse before turning it on, it doesn't splash at all (at least mine doesn't).

I'll add compote (stewed fruit), and cooked chicken (mixed with egg or too dry) to make into patties.
You can get such cheap ones that it's not worth kashering one.

You can't kasher it, it's made of plastic. Unless someone makes one entirely of metal, but I have never seen one like that. Ayway, like PP said, they are cheap enough (and take up minimal space) that you can buy two.

I have 2 - one milchig, one fleishig. I don't use it that often, mainly for soups and crepes etc but when I need it and can't find it I go crazy. I don't like chunky pea, potato, veg. soup so that's mainly what I use it for. They are pretty cheap so it's worth it to get one for each.
As far as toiveling - I buy the ones that come apart so I can toivel and use it right away. I heard that if you buy something that's one piece it's debatable whether you have to tiovel with the cord so ask you LOR

my other one is plastic on top and metal on bottom the bottom alkso comes off so this one is kasherable! I cant remember what brand it is though (im not home to check)

Some blenders are manufactured with a Splash-Guard. If you're buying a new one look out for it.
