cheesecake uses both.
1 lb farmer cheese
1 sm. sour cream
2 eggs
3/4 cup sugar
1 T vanilla sugar
2 T flour
mix and pour either into ready crust or make a crust using crushed cookies and butter.
bake at 350 for 45 min covered uncover and bake 15 min more.

an easy recipe :dairy shlishkes(dumplings)
1LB.farmer cheese
3 eggs
2 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
mix ing. to form a soft not sticky dough
bring a 6 qt pot with water and 1/2 ts. of salt to a boil
divide dough to three and roll out to form three long snakes
cut them to form small pieces roll a bit and through into boiling water cook for 20 minutes or until floats on top remove with slotted spoon
in a frying pen warm 1/4 cup of oil add 3/4 cup of bread crumbs and 1/4-1/2 cup of sugar mix until sugar melts
add dumplings to the breadcrumb mixture mix well &enjoy
