I think I'll be the one keeping this thread going long after everyone else has abandoned it. Pretty sad, considering I'm restricting myself to quotes from the New York Times.

OK, here's a contribution so you're not alone, iluvy.
I read this in a frum magazine and can't remember the exact phrasing, but it was something like "she survived many hardships in her time, such as illnesses of family members and premature deaths"
She must have had nine lives or something.

...And then there are the people at the office where I work, who have apparently convinced one another that to expand on a skeletal plan is to flush it out! Do you suppose they might be squeamish about saying the word flesh out loud?
No, probably not. But I could bring myself to wish it were something like that.
