We want to get a vcr/dvd player just for movies and videos. How do we do that without getting a tv?

If you don't have cable and don't attach the antenna to the TV, you won't be able to get reception anyways.

Must it also allow for videos? Because you can use your computer to view DVD’s.

cant view videos on my computer.
we have a vcr/dvd player and a monitor.
and I have a personal dvd playerv.

greenfire while I agree to some extent to the point u made soooo eloquently, there is a differance between having a tv that has uncontrolled shmutz coming into ur home at all hours and choosing a dvd or video for a limited amount of viewing time and only choosing ones to ur own specifications.

we have had quite a few vcr players and one dvd/vcr player w/ the monitor. the only hard part was to find the right cable connections the first time. since then, any player is good. (ithe monitor is about 20 yrs old now and either that or the dvd/vcr player needs replacing now.?
