With the warmer weather laundry stains are inevitable... Light colored clothes, more outdoors time etc. etc.

Any ideas for simple and quick yet cost effective methods to get the stains out of kids (and adults) clothing? I know oxi-clean works well but with so many stains it could become a real expense. I don't want to have to waste a lot of time scrubbing and soaking stuff Rolling Eyes

I am sure others here would benefit from ideas and suggestions too, so thanks for taking the time to post. Waiting

I find the more soaking the better, and it doesn't really take more active time - just ignore it for a day or so in between step 1 and 2. But other than that, I'm listening for the responses because I spend too much time and money on stain removal too.

also hydrogen peroxide is very good for removing blood. I just finished cleaning DH's shirt after he held our toddler who injured her lip earlier.

Oxyclean (powder) will get out almost all all organic stains! I have even used it to remove turmeric which is impossible. Just wet the stain, sprinkle oxyclean, let it sit, then wash. The one with the blue crystals works best
