Does anyone know of any programs in nyc that give assistance for making your house more energy efficient?

You can call 311. I live in Rockland. We hired an energy consultant and he more than paid for himself in rebates and credits. We are hoping to reap further rewards with our monthly utility bill.

I live in Rockland.
Can you provide the information who you hired and what you had to pay. I am not income eligible for anything free, and my house desperately needs to be insulated.

Do they really pay for your house to be insulated? We spent thousands to make 2 bedroom insulated a few years ago.

Do they really pay for your house to be insulated? We spent thousands to make 2 bedroom insulated a few years ago. |
Neighbors and friends of mine received new windows, fridge, insulated attic... They have also put insulation in the walls, but you need to repaint when they are done.
They come down and asses the house to see where they can make the biggest improvement. These people have paid $0.
I don't qualify for it and cant afford the thousands it cost to insulate my house. My basement isn't usable in the winter, the rest of the house can also use insulation  .
