As a girl growing up, were there any things that your parents did or didn't do that you said/promised that you would davka or would never do when you got married? And did you stick to it?

My mom cooked very little...I cook tons!
I let my kids eat nosh during the week-not only on Shabbos.

I SAID I would have milchigs n Pesach. (as if)
I wanted light brite - I got it for the kids.

I promised I'll never ever work till my kids get married. I worked up until I became pregnant w/ my third. And now that my baby is 3 1/2 I'm looking into a home job for a couple of hours a week. But it's not like I wasn't available for my kids. I only worked during school hours. My mother was always busy, never had time for us  .

I said I wouldn't keep as messy of a house as my mom does.
My house still isn't spotless, but it definitely isn't a filthy mess either like what I grew up in.
