What would you substitute for bread crumbs in a recipe like meatballs, burgers, etc if you either don't have breadcrumbs and/or are trying to go lower in carbs and gluten?

I've used quinoa successfully.

Mashed potatoes. Not lower in carbs but gluten free.

Pesach time I put in vegetables - like potatoes and zucchini
I first mash them in the food processor.
If you look up pesach recipes you could probably find good substitutions.

Almond flour or coconut flour would be low carb. Almond flour works better.
