My dentist recommended Invisalign for my daughter. Only problem is, it's not covered by insurance and costs $4000!
What is the pro of this over braces, which maybe I would get covered if I take her to orthodontist?

If insurance covers braces, invisalign is not worth it.
It's more convenient because there are no pieces to irritate you, and if there are any problems, you can just take them off.
The biggest pro is you take them off to brush your teeth. Food can get stuck under braces and cause tooth decay.
You have to be responsible to wear them, though.

Ok, just clarified, braces not either covered. Guess no choice here but it's such an expense.

Bumping this up to ask..my son is 15 and is scheduled to get invisalign. He is worried that it will be a pain in the neck and thinking he would rather regular braces. Can anyone that had invisalign tell me if it's really hard to deal with?
