For a while I would cut my nail right up to my nail bed, leaving no overhang. I recently began polishing my nails, which makes it less convenient to snip them (first I have to take off polish), and they happen to look very nice when long.
BUT.
I feel gross. I feel dirt accumulating. I do not know how to fully clean; my metal tool that came with my nail kit doesn't do the trick.
How do you keep under your nails perfectly clean?

You can use a nail brush, or a toothbrush designated for cleaning under your nails. Use it every time you wash your hands, or as often as you want to.

I'm used cleaning under my nails each time I was my hands with soap multiple times a day. It's important for sanitary reasons as a lot can get trapped there.
