Has anybody in the Lakewood area ever been to the Monmouth Racetrack for their Family Days on Sunday? What is the crowd like? Prices? Activities? Do you actually watch any racing, or just go for the other activities?
Horseracing sounds like something my kids would love to watch, but I have no idea what the atmosphere is like.

If you watch the triple crown on TV - I saw a leg of it once in a nursing home - it seems really genteel and family oriented. I don't think your typical racetrack is, but I might be wrong.

we went a few years ago. honestly I dont even think we saw the horse races as they had other activities. it was just very crowded
