Now that summer is finally here and we hopefully have more time, it’s time to do the stuff we love but always push away for the stuff we have to do just because we’re adults... To do the stuff that gives us energy and creative juices flowing.
I love oil painting
Pencil portraits
Working out specifically- weights, Pilates and stretches
Creating things (this weeks projects are framing my latest oil painting and making challah covers. Inspo from yaeli fine arts new line. Michaels here I come!)
I used to love experimenting in the kitchen. Before. Before I got married and cooking became a chore!
Like👍 if you have one or more of the same hobbies.
Hug ❤️ if it something you wish you can do.

I write a blog: www.adimesaved.com
I wish I was more creative and that I could create physical things or even write fiction.
Alas, I can't so I focus on what I can do

good for you! I had to laugh at the more time thing though I'm running mommy camp and I know plenty of women are working the same way they do the rest of the year...

Calligraphy, Hebrew and English, not at the perfect professional level, but pretty good.

That’s why I wrote “hopefully have more time”.
Good luck with camp mommy!

I hope I'll have time for some more DIY organizing and home decorating, plus some low key family kid trips. Truthfully we don't have more time, just a more relaxed atmosphere - which I love and cherish!!! ❤

The only hobby I really manage to do right now:
Look for patterns.
I really enjoy observing patterns in behavior, language, colors, numbers, passing cars. Anything. It just gives me a kick.

I don't have more time in the summer, I have less!
My hobbies are:
Gym, classes or weights. I already go every day and often twice a day but I'll have to cut down in July when my big girls/babysitters are in camp
Reading... Anytime and anywhere
Cooking, I do less of in the summer because I spend more time sitting outside watching my kids and have less time to cook.

Hey. I'd write very similar to you.
Needlepoint, especially tiny stitches
Journalling
Rhyming poetry
Cake decorating
Puzzles, the harder the better
I dream of one day having the confidence to do something with my poetry.

You do furniture makeovers? So cool! I always wished to do them. I once went to a thrift shop but I very quickly realized I am hopeless at it.

All you need is a lot of time and a staple gun! I am helping decorate my friend's house on a budget. We are painting the walls(ourselves!), and revamping furniture. I live right near a Michael's and a whole lotta thrift stores. We found excellent pieces and decor. It's coming out great so far!

I wouldn't call them hobbies, but things I enjoy doing even though I don't feel like doing it. Makes no sense, I know .
Sewing, for clothing. I have made crafts and I don't mind, but as long as it has a purpose. I don't like stuff just for stuff.
Cooking and baking. I like to try new recipes, but not to patchka. I love to treat my children like guinea pigs with new recipes. Some are fails and some are not. Too bad, I hardly remember what I did .
I loved doing crafts with my kids when they were younger. Now they're not interested.
