We are thinking of making a vort in the N.Y. area in 2 weeks, now I'm thinking we should cancel or postpone? And when to make the wedding? How are people planning simchas with this virus going on? Is everything on hold??

I would consult with my Rav. If possible I would make a small vort at home or at shul just families more like a l'chaim. And keep a bottle of sanitizer at the door and have everyone use it as they come in, not force, there can be a little cute sign like welcome we love you but not any germs...or something cuter.
I do think habits are changing and will continue to change of necessity -- best to be ahead of the curve on this one.
