Anyone lost their sense of taste and smell? Coronavirus!

I just read that it may be one of the symptoms of Coronavirus, which I may obviously have ( I dont have fever, just a slight cough) . This came on suddenly. Anyone else? Im freaking out. Hope this is temporary.

My son just told me he can't taste or smell. Is it really one of the symptoms?

Yes, I'm not smelling much, and my taste is off/weakened. I don't have fever (though I feel like I do - chills and sweats, I feel like my thermometer is lying) but am congested and a mild cough....

Today my girls shampooed my carpets, which usually smells really nice. I don't smell a thing.

I can't smell a thing. I have congestion but it's dry and I can breathe in and out BH. But it's painful and I have no sense of smell.
Last week at its peak I had body aches and pains, headache, shivers kept checking thermometer but no fever. I tested positive.

I didn't get tested but I have all the symptoms plus can't smell or taste a thing. I hope this goes away quickly.

Yes! Welcome to Corona. Apparently that is a symptom.. I heard a lot of people experiencing It. I didn't hear of anyone regaining the sens yet though which is weird. Hopefully it's very short term! Feel better..

You can have it without fever - just read someone was tested positive even without fever.

No, not everyone has fever. It's just as infectious with mild symptoms even if coughing only. (Or none at all.)

Yes! I just came on here to see if anyone else has it. I had fever on shabbos and I have a wet cough/cold too.

I didnt smell my burning toast. I cant taste anything, just feel texture. Im thinking now is a good time do go on a diet I might as well nosh on a bag of lettuce.

I was just telling my dh on shabbos that my taste buds are not working. He then told me that it's a symptom. He told me loss of smell too. I knew I didn't have my sense of smell but I blamed it on the cold like symptoms. I didn't realize it's related untill dh pointed it out to me.

Definitely fits corona symptoms. Also feeling like you have fever but when you check the thermometer, you actually don't.

I've had no taste or smell since Thursday. Can't even taste ice cream😭. Just feels cold consistency. I'm so frustrated. Lost tonz of weight. I'm not eating . Have to remind myself to eat to nourish my body because it's not about taste anymore. I can get tested if I wanted but it'll probably make me feel worse if I know I have the virus.
