In my cozy city apartment we don’t have the space for a couch.
I really need a alternative being that all we do these days is lounge!

I wanted a round Japanese Kotatsu table with a round couch surrounding it. The couch can be used for sleeping and sitting. The table has a heating element with a blanket extending over the sides to cover those on the sitting area. It's low to the floor, so it doesn't overwhelm a room. You can eat, do work, or just socialize around the table. It's perfect for a sukkah room BTW.

What is the space you have for a couch.
There are apartment sized sofas which are shorter and have narrower arms for example. Love seats generally seat two instead of three. There are also what are called chair and a half which are large chairs.
How many people are you trying to seat? A sofa is generally only comfortable for two people because no one likes to be seated in the middle :-).
