If someone offered you a baby gift in the $500 range and there was nothing specific you needed, what would you choose? Any ideas?

Need a coat and sack for baby?
Or perhaps stuff for yourself or kids
Lingerie
Comfy slippers
A jewelry piece
Games/toys for the other kids

I already was gifted a photo shoot.. don’t want a doona.. have a glider. It would be great if cash was an option because I could use it towards things like decorating the nursery.. but it’s not really like that.

Then ask for a certificate to a baby nursery store. Or Amazon. Or wherever you think has the stuff to furnish your little nursery.

Something the baby can use as they get older like a piece of bedroom furniture- a dresser maybe? cute little child table & chair set and some other items like that?

I read about a piano savant whose mother bought him a piano when he was born and surrounded him constantly with music.
"Ariel Lanyi has grown up in Israel. His parents wanted him to be exposed to music from the first day of his birth. They did not want him to come home to a house without a piano, so they negotiated to buy one. Neither parent played the piano, but this little baby would grow up hearing music of the great masters from day one. Little did they know what this would do to his life."
