Hi,
My baby needs a crib bumper because he bangs his head in order to fall asleep (which the doctor said is ok). Where can I get one that is not so expensive? The back of his crib is solid-no slats..

How old is your baby? If under 12 months, bumpers are unsafe.

Did the dr. say the head-banging is ok or the crib bumper is ok? Because for older babies they're unsafe, too, as the baby can use the bumper--even a soft one--as a step to boost himself up and climb (or worse, fall) out of the crib.

thanks for all your replies. He is 14 months and I am not worried that it is unsafe. I asked the doctor about the head banging and he said I should try to protect his head so I figured bumpers would be a good idea. If you have another idea on how I can protect his head while he is banging I am willing to hear.
thanks.
