I tested positive for antibodies 2 weeks after the onset of the virus.

Pediatrician told me to test a month after symptoms start. Don’t know if he is being liberal with the timing so you don’t test a little too early...

When I took my daughter they told me the best time is between 2 and 4 weeks of symptom onset

Are these recommendations in order to see a high number? Just wondering, if you got over the virus, doesn’t that mean you already have antibodies? Why the need to wait?
