I’m trying to stop going through so many disposable aluminum pans lately.

I don’t know what to use instead, since I like cooking a lot of dishes at the same time for shabbos and love how lightweight these tins are and how easily they nest in each other.

With my reusable tins, I have to wrestle to detach them from each other in the drawer, and they are pretty heavy.

Any ideas for specific brands of reusable 9x13s?

I have a few lightweight 9x13 roasters that I use from a brand called paderno. They wash well in the dishwasher even though they don't have a non-stick coating. I also have some 9x13 from Pyrex that have lasted through 15+ yrs of marriage, but they are a bit heavier to use.

I only use disposables to send meals for meal trains and chai lifeline meals.

Kol hakavod for reducing your waste!!! It is a liberating feeling!

Heavy means good. Heavy baking dishes absorb the heat much better instead of flimsy aluminium pans.
Pyrex glass or stainless steel or porcelain dishes are just great.
It's a matter of getting used to things Smile

I would like to cut down because of the health factor (aluminum).

Can anyone post links to good 9x13 alternatives in glass or porcelain?

Thanks!

I haven't researched how fully stainless steel these are, they "say" they're pure SS. In any event, I love them and have a bunch. They wash very easily and theyre basically the same size as a disposable pan:

There are also versions with a lid, which are even more perfect!

We use stainless steel hotel pans with flat lids. We use a big one for a Kedera blech.

If you get pyrex get the ones with covers
It makes stacking in the fridge easier

I wish they would make silicone covers that can be used in the oven
I’d pay good money for such a thing
