Nice bottle of whatever he likes to drink (liquor, wine…). Doesn’t take up any space, as far as my husband goes he’s sure to drink it eventually, and he’ll get a lot of joy from bringing it to shul to share.

I once gave my husband a cologne gift set. It comes with 7-8 sample colognes and a gift card. he chooses the one he likes and exchanges the gift card for the full size bottle.

I got my husband a rocketbook smart notebook. He's always jotting notes for himself during work meetings so thought you'd might be something both useful but also a little cool/fun.

What about a piece of silver? Does he have a Seder plate? Maybe a new kiddush cup or kos eliyahu? I've gotten some good deals buying silver on eBay.....
If your talking all budgets....I think a really cool gift would be to buy your husband a sefer Torah (or at least commission one to start)
