I recently took my wedding bracelet to a jeweler to clean.
They mentioned that my safety clasp was loose.

I had been wearing the bracelet for b'h 20 years and no problems of it falling off.
So I left it with them to fix it.

Once I got it home, the next shabbos I hear a cling and my bracelet had fallen on the floor. I figured I didn't give it a secure close.
So the next shabbos I put it on, and double checked the safety clasp was totally in with a click.

When I went to take my jewelry off at the end of shabbos, my bracelet was not on my hand. I've searched everywhere, and it must have fallen off on the street somewhere when I didn't notice.

To all the jeweler's out there. Does the person who attempted to fix my bracelet hold any responsibility?

Unfortunately, even if the jeweler is responsible, they won’t take responsibility.
They literally cannot afford to.
They don’t know the value of the piece, they may tell you, you should have had it insured, but they certainly won’t be providing you with a replacement.
