The other thread people were writing only their husbands.
Growing up, and now as well, it is an entire family affair. Gosh, even our dog followed us around Wink
I have never heard of only the husband doing it.

Everyone, although I usually drift away in the middle to finish something or other in the kitchen. The kids keep up though.

We used to do it as a family but lately I ask my husband to do it with the kids; I have my hands full enough in the kitchen. I’d like it to be a family activity but I’m much too busy.

DH does it and kids follow him around while I do my work in the kitchen.
The only time I joined him was when we weren’t home for pesach and it was a nice family project. Now I’d rather use that time productively.

It was always a family affair when I was growing up and still is now. The kids hide the bread and we all walk through the house together searching for it.
DD makes it into a game of hot & cold Very Happy

I do. When I was born a neighbor called me by the feminine version of my father's name bc I looked like him so much. I know I am very fortunate.

Same as OP. Everyone… and the dog. And when I was a kid, my childhood dog also loved it. It’s like they know the special role they played when we left mitzrayim!

Everyone, of course. It's both chinuch and a fun activity for the kids, and anyway how you gonna check their rooms if the kids are asleep? How's anyone gonna do anything if the lights are all off? And if you're just a couple, how's the seeker gonna know if s/he found where everything is hidden unless the hider verifies?

I think when people say their husbands do it they mean he is the one actually making the bracha. Of course we all follow!

Nope, from this thread it seems there are women who font partake. They continue in the kitchen.
By us everyone finidges/stops what they are doing. I cant imagine not having it that way.

And as for the bracha, sometimes my daughter does it, sometimes I do. There is nothing that says the husband/father has to do it. So its shared.

Nope, I actually left the house this year as soon as he made the bracha because I had errands to do. Most years I’m in the kitchen and I just turn off the light when he needs to do that room.
It’s a serious it process here, it takes close to 2 hours I really wouldn’t describe it as fun. Dh does not talk the entire time and prefers that people around him keep quiet so he can concentrate. I grew up the same way, only the older boys followed my father around everyone else lost patience after the first few minutes and either went to sleep or read a book somewhere.

I do not join in the hunt.
It would be really nice, but I have so many things to do - I can't afford to lose 2 hours of my night just to follow along.

DH and the kids do it together.

Usually together. This year DH and kids did it without me because I had a business trip and couldn't get home from the airport in time.
