My husband has a fundraising opportunity out of the country to meet with some wealthy fancy people.
They are picking up the tab for DH and I to travel to them
I MAY be invited to the meeting. Could be in the office could be out to lunch

What is proper attire for such a meeting?

I live OOT so on- line examples are appreciated
I dress tzniyut, classic, put together (at least I think so), but casual.
I won’t be comfortable in an “old lady looking” suit
I get hot easily and it is summer
Im over 50 if that makes a difference
Is it different if it’s in the office or going to a restaurant.

Im on a budget so I really don’t want to spend more than $80 for a complete outfit
I may have things at home I can supplement with, which will help with the budgeting

Please help me out

Maybe a nice cotton summer sweater (thin) and an a lined skirt (new or in perfect condition)?
Also you should get new shoes if your shoes are scuffed.
And have your wig freshly washed and set.

Honestly I think a suit is your best bet in this sort of situation, or at least a blazer over a nice skirt and top. You won't find these in frum stores probably but they're making a comeback in regular department stores. Check out Dillard's website. Preston and York is one of their brands that has this sort of separates you can match up, and is reasonably priced. (I think you'll have to spend more than $80 though...sorry.)

I would pair a light blazer with a summery dress.

Here's an example (Junee is 50% off so the total is about $80 for both pieces)

I think this is too casual for a meeting with mega potential donors who are paying for op and husband's tickets even before they listen to the fundraising request.

Really depends. You can never go wrong with a classic pencil skirt, blouse and light cardigan or blazer you can take off. With flats. But people are generally more casual in business world now so maybe a floral dress with cardigan. Depends

I think I like this idea the best
If we go to the office

And if we go out to a restaurant a pretty dress

Men have it easy

I'd go for a nice shirtdress with loafers.

Buy new tights.
Polish shoes
Wear anything in a solid color. - I’d do a black dress with a light summer sweater over it
Apply makeup carefully
Brush wig.

A shabbos dress or outfit should be good, or something nicer weekday - not taffeta wedding type but the type of thing you'd wear to a bris or a party.

That’s what I packed for the rest of the days.
The donation is a done deal
They are just excited to show us their offices/business. There’s also a small gathering they want us to be there for. It’s an opportunity to network with others.
Im. kind of nervous because we are simple people
And that’s what they appreciate from us
