Growing up, we finished at close to 3, my (litvish) shul said literally every single piyut
Now my shul finishes closer to 1:30/2, which is very nice
This year will be shorter first day because no shofar

Chaim berlin ends earlier and they have a short break before shofar. The place I'm talking about starts before chaim berlin, ends around 4 ( earlier without shofar) and has a break for about 20 minutes before shofar.

Am I missing something? Why should people be talking about a particular shul when you didn't post a location or even country?

There are many minyanim which finish late.
