All these basically picked apart that poor beautiful name ad nauseum.

“Anything else” would be: give a different name

Or add a name you like better and use that.

Or call by a completely made up name or a secular name and Elisheva will be the Yiddishe name

Otherwise the suggestions above just about exhausted it.

Elisheva is a gorgeous name IMO. Since I like nicknames, I’d use Shevi.

Bshaah tova!

Elisheva is Elizabeth in English, so I guess you could do Liz, Lizzie or Beth.

Elisheva is not Elizabeth.
Some may decide to choose one name for the other because they have common letters/sounds, but they have nothing to do with each other.

According to Wikipedia:

Elizabeth is a feminine given name, a variation of the Hebrew name Elisheva (אֱלִישֶׁבַע), meaning "My God is an oath" or "My God is abundance", as rendered in the Septuagint.

Like how Rivkah is Rebecca or Devorah is Deborah.

I know we all like different things but for the life of me I can’t wrap my head around the idea of switching a beautiful name like Elisheva for a nickname. Trading in a Ferrari for a rusty moped…

Gotta agree with Brunette and Lightgreen...

These nicknames are mostly stupid, that's why you're not going for them, OP. Shevs? Sheeba? Lishi?!?!?!

OMG

If you don't like the classic Shevy or Ellie, just call her by her beautiful name. Elisheva is gorgeous.

My sister is Ellie. Please spare your child the embarrassment of people commenting on her male-sounding name. Elisheva is gorgeous, just leave it as is.

I like that my nickname is Ellie because it is very recognizable for non Jews since it is a common nickname for Eleanor/Elinor.

When people struggle with my name, and they will, I just have them call me Ellie, which is what I am called by most people anyway.
