I’m sure these bribes happen as they do in many schools but they are in the exception, for people begging to squeeze their kid in, of for people who don’t necessarily fit the mold . It’s not right but it’s a business decision.

Hwo is there suddenly room for 25k? Well you do the math.

Three families do that and you’ve got an entire new classroom, that’s how. The administration isn’t flying on private jets with the money, they’re running a school and the money literally goes to running the school

I'm all for schools reserving slots for donor families.

When we were applying to school, our "pull" told us that we were next in line, after the families with $$$. BH there was a slot for us as well.

I'm very happy that my kids' school can pay its bills.

Last year, I applied to a few hot schools and did not get in due to space constraints. Instead of begging and pleading, I applied to a not so hot established school and got in. I am thrilled!!!! My son is thrilled. He loves school and has a great parent body! Be open minded!!
