It’s basically talking from a mothers point of view to the teachers/principals (school system) that likes to keep children in a box. And it may not work for everyone.

I don’t think I did a great job explaining, if someone can clarify further…

I’m not 100 percent sure but I think it’s about how there are many different types of people (chasiddish, sfardi, litvish…) and we’re not all the same. Yet in Hashems’ eyes, we are all beautiful and matter.
And we were all made exactly the way we were meant to be.

The message I got was to let every child become the person they were meant to be and not the person you want them to be...

It starts off with the mother, then the teacher and then the mother as an older woman and then all types of young Frum women. I think.

The song is beautiful and touching. The words are hard to follow and they should have included the lyrics in the video or show notes. But once you can catch on - wow. I was crying. I didn't really get the whole costumes change thing or the old lady makeup.

I didn’t get the costume changes either. I think the heavy make up and the strangeness of the costume changes took away from the beautiful lyrics and her amazing voice. None of the costumes fit the lyrics. The song starts with a mother of a little girl taking her to school and she was so overly made up and dressed as if she was off to her sister’s wedding or maybe her own. The costumes went downhill from there with each making less and less sense. All is forgiven because you can’t be upset with a voice like that.

If I would have paid someone a fortune to write my daughter's life experience, I don't think they would have come up with a better song than this. I sat there stunned as I watched it. She is literally describing my daughter's painful life experiences to a t! Wow, was it painful to watch!! But it was so encouraging that this reality is being brought into the open and I deeply hope that it affects some real, true change and opens the minds of all people of how to truly view and properly treat all children - but especially ones like this.

She has a beautiful voice, I'm not sure if she's doing it or it's a studio effect, but why is the song giving off that vibe I get when I hear secular music in department stores? It's not her original beautiful singing.
