Spelt is a type of wheat. It's biologically classified as a type of wheat. Some people only react to regular wheat and some people react to spell too.

My kid can have spelt but not wheat. How do I know what this is?
Here's a different company where the ingredients is listed as spelt.

I used to cook and bake spelt stuff for just that kid and then I'd buy the brain grain brand. Lately It's gotten too time consuming to do everything 3x. (I have a GF kid too). So I decided to do spelt for the entire family (except GF kid.) And it's very expensive. I was looking for a cheaper alternative. (Brain grain spelt flour is $25 a bag here. And Maverick mills is $11!)
Here's shibolim from amazon.... see what I mean with the ingredients listed as spelt?
