I'm located in Brooklyn and Kendamil is hard to find. Our pediatrician would like me to supplement with formula and recommended Kendamil formula. Kendamil is about $70/can. Materna I believe is about $40/can. Would you spend the extra money to get Kendamil over Materna? The baby gets about 3 bottles a day (2-3 oz)

As in all formulas are basically the same thing? Formula is the most heavily regulated food product so they all are very similar in nutritional value.

yes I compared the nutritional value and its basically the same
my pediatrician also told me so.
the only one thats heavier is similac vs materna and kenamil is much lighter on stomach

Materna has corn syrup while Kendamil and Similac both don’t.
When I researched the formula options a fee months ago, I found Kendamil to be the best and cleanest options but it wasn’t available locally, so I went with Similac.

Materna is not FDA approved, Kendamil is.

I don’t use formula now, but when I started my baby on formula I used materna sacks because American made ones were back ordered and I didn’t want to run into any issues. I don’t know anything about Kendamil, but I was very happy using materna.
